I’ve had quite a few email questions about my holistic approach to weight loss class coming up on Saturday January 6th. Even though I have responded personally to each and every one of those emails, I thought it might be helpful to post some of those questions and answers for everyone else to see! With permission to use their first name, here are the top questions I have received so far.
One of the first questions that came in was from Shannon in Kitchener.
Q: What kind of diet will you be suggesting for this class. I recently decided to cut all meat and dairy from my diet. Will the information in this class be suitable for vegetarian eating?
A: This class focuses on how to take a holistic approach to achieving a healthy weight. I don’t endorse any particular diet such as vegan, vegetarian, paleo, ketogenic etc. To be honest, I don’t like diet labels. Whenever we choose to label our diet, it can limit us from exploring options that might really benefit us. This workshop will focus on getting the right nutrients to correct any imbalances. The food or supplements you choose to get those nutrients is your personal choice.
I believe the healthiest way of eating is a whole foods diet, which eliminates or limits processed food. Over the years I’ve coached a lot of people who follow all types of different diets with a lot of success.
This particular workshop focuses on addressing all the different underlying causes of weight gain and weight loss resistance. We focus on balancing all areas of the body and mind, to balance hormones, the thyroid, insulin and blood sugar imbalances, adrenal, cortisol and inflammation (to name a few) – all the areas which could be contributing to weight gain or an inability to maintain a healthy weight.
Lana in Milton asks:
I was diagnosed with diabetes last year and I’m also taking blood pressure medication. Will this class help me? Will any of the suggestions interfere with my medications?
A: It’s very important to address blood sugar imbalances when trying to achieve and maintain a healthy weight, and so yes, we do address this topic in the workshop. Even though there are several herbs and supplements that can help manage blood sugar, we would want to review the medications you’re taking to make sure there are no drug/herb interactions. There are a lot of ways we can balance blood sugar and support the pancreas by making certain food choices. Since you’re diabetic, there is definitely information that will be relevant to you in this class. The tips might also help to naturally lower/balance your blood pressure, so that is something you will want to monitor when following any of the suggestions from the workshop.

I’m currently breastfeeding. Will this workshop information be safe for my baby?
A: Great question! I don’t promote restrictive or radical ways of eating. This is not a cleanse or detox program. If anything, the information in this workshop will provide even more nutrition to your baby and hormonal balance for you. It’s a win-win!
Tanya in Waterloo asks:
Hi Chantale, I’ve tried every diet under the sun. Is there a weight loss guarantee with this program?
A: All I can do is provide you with the information and offer guidance and coaching to help you through it.
After the class if you have trouble putting this information into a workable plan (a meal plan and recipes will be provided), I do have a custom weight loss program available through my website. If you decide to book that personal consultation after you attend this workshop, I will deduct the workshop fee from the personal weight loss consultation fee.

I have a health condition that prevents me from doing intense workouts. Will the information in this workshop still benefit me even if I can’t exercise?
A: You can be successful in achieving and maintaining a healthy weight without doing intense workouts. This class will also provide some suggestions for those with limited mobility. Since we’re addressing all areas of weight loss resistance, I’m quite confident that you’ll pick up some useful information in this class.
